Industrial Sewing Machine OperatorCORT Party Rental is hiring for an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator!This role is responsible for the production and repair of sewn goods, and supporting the linen, tenting and equipment protection departments.Pay: $21-$25 / hour depending on experience.Schedule: Monday-Friday with potential for weekend work and overtime.What We OfferHourly pay rate; weekly pay; paid training; 40 hours /week with overtime opportunitiesPromote from within cultureComprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision) available within 30 days or less401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid vacation, sick days, and holidaysCompany-paid disability and life insuranceTuition reimbursementEmployee discounts and perksResponsibilitiesOperates a single needle, double needle and overlock machineReads blueprints and interprets product schematicsTraces patterns and cuts material by hand where necessaryWill be trained to safely operate: RF welding machineAutomatic grommet setter and web cutterRotary cutting toolsWorks with different sizes and styles of material including cotton, vinyl, polyester, taffeta, linen and canvasWorks with sales and marketing to coordinate sample swatches of all fabricsWorks with other departments to coordinate repairs and productionCreates, fills out and tracks time sheets, work orders and production drawings/instructionsTracks and reports inventory levels of items to be produced or repaired to Inventory SpecialistsSorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, or colorMaintains an organized and clean sewing departmentQualifications5+ years of manufacturing/sewing experienceAbility to push/pull/lift/carry up to 60 lbsProficient in operating a single needle, double needle and overlock machineAbility to read blueprints and interpret product schematicsKnowledge of fabric assembly techniquesAbout CORT Party RentalCORT Party Rental, a part of Berkshire Hathaway, has been the premier event rental company in Washington State for over 50 years.
